Dear Editor,
I would like to submit this very important piece of “national interest” for possible publication in your credible news outlets with the hope that authorities concerned, particularly the Sierra Leone Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, could urgently take necessary actions.
It’s about one fake Dr. Hamid Ahmed Kanneh, who my investigation in tertiary institutions all over the Gulf region has proved that he doesn’t even possess a recognized secondary school leaving certificate let alone a PhD. This man arrived in Dubai few years ago after he was issued persona non grata in other Gulf states he visited including Kuwait, Syria, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, as a result of some criminal activities he was found culpable of. He is believed to be also wanted in Sierra Leone after he carted away with billions worth of properties belonging to UNHCR shortly after the war. This man, if left unchecked, he has the capacity to reverse President Koroma’s rebranding effort of our beloved Sierra Leone, if he hasn’t already done so in the eyes of the Emirati government. Since Kanneh arrived here in the Emirate, he is changing addresses and telephone numbers every week; he is duping everyone he contacted; he is creating new companies and associations on weekly basis which he is intermittently using to extort money from prominent people. He had been arrested by the Emirati police on several occasions, but sadly enough, on each occasion he is arrested, legal documents will arrive from Sierra Leone through the Embassy in Saudi Arabia that will let him free without prosecution. He claims to be an Ambassador at large representing the Government of Sierra Leone in the Emirate. He is bragging with a Sierra Leonean diplomatic passport purportedly issued to him by the Government of Sierra Leone through the Embassy in Saudi Arabia. I’m attaching for your attention some complementary cards he presented to two different Emirati authorities in Abu Dhabi.
