Following the aborted meeting with a cross-section of Sierra Leoneans at the Day’s Inn hotel on Wilson Avenue in Toronto last Saturday by Toronto Police as a result of leaked planned demonstrations against the leader and presidential flag bearer of the opposition Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Julius Maada Bio, for his role in the extrajudicial killings of 29 innocent and unsuspecting Sierra Leoneans, including the late Inspector-General of Police, James Bambay, Kamara, and the racketeering of the country’s passports, very reliable sources reaching this press indicate that Mr. Bio finally succeeded in holding a closed-door meeting with the Toronto branch of Tegloma the very Saturday at the basement of the Suya Spot, a Nigerian-owned restaurant on Weston Road (main intersection of Weston Road and Sheppard Avenue) in Toronto.

Addressing the twenty members of Tegloma, Mr. Bio indicated that he would focus his campaign on three key areas of education, primary health care, and agriculture. “Ladies and gentlemen, as you may be aware, we have been out of power for a while now and whatever financial contribution you can afford for your traditional party to win back power would be appreciated”, Bio said amidst a very cold response from his audience.
