At what was marking the close of the Attitudinal and Behavioural Change (ABC) Secretariat’s tour of communities and institutions within the Northern Region of Sierra Leone quite recently, the Port Loko Prisons, as compared to their counterparts across the length and breadth of the country, unequivocally impressed the Secretariat’s top executives to a point that they made a clarion call on other government outfits to emulate the Port Loko Prisons.The visiting team which comprised of the Executive Director, National Coordinator and Second-in-Command, Program Manager and Northern Region Coordinator of ABC Secretariat among others were Dr. Ivan Ajibola Thomas, Madam Nanette Thomas, Mr. Ishmael Cole and Mr. Daniel Sara Turay respectively who were at the Port Loko Prisons to sensitize the Prisons Officers on the theme ‘Relevance of Positive Attitudes and Behaviours to National Development’ in their respective statements observed that amidst the usual insufficient financing institutions complained of, the Port Loko Prisons has over the years confronted theirs with a worthy entrepreneurship to live to the expectations of being a contemporary example to the challenging justice system’s closing stage.
